The majority of the shots that are used in this video are close up shots of the artist. These are also called 'meat shots' to promote the artist. The shots tend to be a mix of the narrative and the artist performing and this is a generic convention for this genre of music video. There are also a lot of long shots included which supports the narrative as they show scenes of partying and they are also used to show dancing.

The video contains alot of quick editing to match in with the beat of the song and there are also parts where the shots change quickly to give a 'strobing' effect which ties in with the narrative and theme of the video.

Genre:
this music video ties in with the genre of dance and pop as it follows some of the conventions of the genres. The artist is shown lip syncing which is a common convention of music videos and there are also scenes of performance where the artist is dancing. The editing is fast and there is a variety of shots which ties in with the dance genre.
Narrative:
The narrative in this video is a party which sees the artist dancing and various shots of other people dancing. Shots of the narrative are mixed in with shots of the artist performing which is a generic convention of a pop music video. The video has a clear linear narrative which is narrated by the artist.
Audience:
The main audience for this video would be teenagers as they can relate to the narrative of the video as the artist is quite young and it shows her having a good time with her friends. The video appeals to both males and females, as females can relate to the narrative eg. getting ready to go out having a good time with their friends ect. and it appeals to males as the artist is attractive and has revealing costume choices.
Representation:
The male gaze theory applies to this video as it has revealing costumes and seductive poses. The costume choices are very exaggerated and not something which you would see 'normal' people. This adds a sense of glamour to the video and this ties in with the audience as it makes it more appealing to the female audience through the fashion aspect. The lighting and editing are quite fast which represents the feeling of being a nightclub.
